About Me.

To give you a quick idea . . . the picture on the right is about 8 years old. Since then, one is off living his big boy life, one is in college, the baby is now in puberty, and our oldest daughter is graduated and married with 2 girlies of her own. I have an updated picture, but I just haven’t uploaded it. So . . . yea.

This is me. The keeper of the things. The holder together-er. I am a hard worker and an even harder lover of my people. We are a big blended family, and my married life has been a wild one. I’ve loved Jesus my whole life, but only really followed him for less than half of that. Before that I was wild, always wanting to have fun, never wanting to be responsible. But the moment I started truly seeking Jesus, I’ve just sat in awe as God has carried me through one miracle after another. I absolutely love sharing those stories with anyone that needs a boost of encouragement.

After growing up under a teacher’s roof and then stepping into the classroom for more than a decade, I became passionate about pouring into teachers. Leave all the classroom crap aside, I like to talk about real life and how to survive the world of education with Jesus at the head. I truly believe it’s one of the most valuable mission fields. I started my company, Teacher, Be Still, in 2019, and I’ve been witness to how powerfully God is moving through educators all over the globe. It’s a passion area of mine, and I feel honored to inspire and come alongside these weary warriors.

Recently I’ve stepped into the role of student as I pursue my Masters at Dallas Theological Seminary. I never thought I’d go back to school - in any capacity - but especially not in getting a degree from a seminary. I have an insatiable desire to know the Word, steward it well, and know God more. When I graduate, I’m positive all my kids will be grown and graduated and I’ll need a walker to cross the stage - I’m ok with this.

My handsome man and I have been married for almost 21 years. We have 4 kids, 2 grands, and live in the hot, concrete jungle of Dallas/Fort Worth. John is my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and I’m absolutely smitten with him.

So there you have it - I’m a far cry from a fancy, put together city girl. I’m real and kind of a mess, but I’m passionate about people and Jesus.
